Sweet Revenge

I’ve never seen my mom so upset over a man before.  Ever since Eli dumped her, she’s been nursing a broken heart.  No matter how many times I’ve tried to tell her otherwise, she still feels responsible for their breakup.  Eli destroyed my mom’s self-confidence and I had to make him pay.  I came up with a brilliant revenge plan and Max carried it out perfectly.  My mom totally saved his butt, and now he thinks she’s cool again.  I hope Eli realizes what he lost when he hurt my mom and regrets it every day for the rest of his life. 

A Tough Situation

I thought I was doing Uncle Mac a favor by renting out Georgie’s room, but I had no idea that he didn’t tell Maxie.  I just assumed she knew the room had been cleaned out and that Uncle Mac had packed Georgie’s things away.  Now Maxie is furious with me and I can’t really blame her.  Matt Hunter is a total jerk.  He obviously has no respect for Maxie or the fact that she’s still grieving for her dead sister.  Instead of trying to help repair the relationship between Maxie and Uncle Mac, I'm afraid I’ve made a tough situation even worse.

Room for Rent

Uncle Mac wants to rent out Georgie's room and he asked if I'd help him find a tenant. As soon as I posted the ad at the hospital, several people inquired about the property. Uncle Mac's house is in a great location within walking distance to downtown. The view from the room overlooks the park and the neighborhood is relatively quiet. Although I'm not thrilled with the idea of someone moving in to Georgie's room, Uncle Mac insists Georgie would've wanted it this way. I realize that Uncle Mac hates being in an empty house and with Maxie hardly around, having someone else to worry about might be exactly what he needs right now.

Wrong Kind of Love

Eli Love is a dog.  He’s vain, egotistical, self-absorbed and the absolute wrong guy for my mom.  As soon as he found out I was pregnant, he dumped her.  There’s no way that some young supermodel is better than a super spy.  My mom has jumped out of helicopters, rappelled through windows and crash-landed in the Amazon rainforest.  She is the epitome of cool, and Eli doesn’t deserve her.  I really enjoyed watching Patrick and Noah make him pay.  Eli Love obviously doesn't respect my mom, and I know she's better off without him.

Love and Happiness

Eli Love is back and my mom is deliriously happy.  She’s acting like a teenage girl fawning over a rock star, except my mom is no teenager.  She’s about to become a grandmother and the last thing I want is for my pregnancy to ruin her relationship.  It’s ridiculous that I have to hide behind charts and X-rays to keep Eli from finding out about this baby, but I’d do anything for my mom.  I know how much she wants to maintain her super spy image, and there’s nothing wrong with that.  I’m just glad my baby is going to grow up with the coolest grandmother in the world.

Win-Win Situation

Words can’t describe how happy I am with the outcome of today’s hearing.  Patrick’s testimony was so painstakingly honest and heartfelt that it became clear to me just how much our child means to him.  I can’t believe it took us going to court to figure out that we both wanted the same thing.  Patrick and I are through hurting each other and we’re committed to doing our best with this baby.  I love Patrick, and I’m ready to start our new life together as a family.  As far as I’m concerned, this is a victory for all of us.   

A Desperate Attempt

I’m glad Noah agreed to testify on my behalf at the hearing tomorrow.  If my mom isn’t going to stand up for me, then at least Patrick’s father will.  This entire custody suit has spun out of control.  Everyone is arguing about the past and blaming the situation on our dysfunctional childhoods when it couldn’t be further from the truth.  This is nothing more than a petty dispute between me and Patrick.  He never wanted to be a father, and I don’t expect him to become one just because I’m having his baby.  The jury is going to agree that this is just a desperate attempt on Patrick’s part.  I hate that our child's future has to be decided in court, but Patrick brought this on all by himself.   

Getting Past the Pain

I understand that Sonny wants to move on with his life, but marrying Kate Howard isn’t the solution.  Sonny is still grieving over Michael and he’s not thinking clearly.  I’ve known Sonny a long time, and he has a tendency to bury his pain in someone else.  I did exactly the same thing when Stone died.  I found comfort in Jason for a little while, but I never stopped loving Stone.  The biggest mistake Sonny can make is to try and replace Michael.  I’m happy that Sonny’s free from the mob and focusing on his future, but nobody – not even Kate – is going to help him get past the pain of losing his son.  

Ridiculous Petition

I’m totally angry with Patrick’s decision to file for custody of our child.  This ridiculous petition has me so flustered that I can barely focus on work.  I’ve already misplaced several samples of test material and had to start my research all over again.  Then I jammed the copy machine and spent most of the evening handwriting the results.  As if I didn’t have enough stress in my life, now I have to worry about losing my baby to a guy who never wanted to be a father in the first place.  Whatever chance Patrick and I had of someday becoming a family was completely destroyed the moment he handed me those damn papers.   

Custody Battle

I can’t believe Patrick served me with a petition for custody of our unborn child.  He’s determined to stake a claim on this kid simply because we both know he doesn’t want to be a father.  I won’t let Patrick do this just to prove a point, but he’s convinced he has a legitimate case.  To make matters worse, my mother agrees with him.  She thinks I’m denying Patrick the opportunity to raise this child as payback for my own absentee father.  I assured her this has nothing to do with overcompensating for my messed up childhood.  Patrick is the one who started this – and if it’s a fight he’s looking for, then that’s exactly what he’s going to get.
